First place - It was a sweet and quick (but full) story with strong variation of images.
Second place - Good job covering a sensitive subject matter. We thought that the fifth photo in the sequence was outstanding. We felt that the photo could have placed in the single general news category had it been in there. Photo three in the sequence was the right idea, but out of focus.
Third place - Everyday subject matter that made an interesting essay with nice variations of images. Told the story of a “Main Street” American business well.
