Judges Comments

The first place entry had wonderful photos of moment, composition and light, evocative and compelling and tightly edited. Unlike other entries, this made us want to see more pictures. Second place, with its excellent images and point of view from this photographer, created an evocative sense of place and the people in this essay. Third place was a strong edit of emotional moments from the Florida school shooting.
