The first place entry presented more of a traditional narrative story with more depth compared to the other entries. The downside was the two pages with two large photos competing to be the dominant element. The second place entry’s opening page looked like an excellent candidate for a higher place in the Single Page category. Good picture usage and variety from a single-day assignment. Third place had good picture display and used detail photos well to tell the story.
