Very compelling story with a gripping intro. Well shot and great audio quality! Immediately connected with this cause and the work they are doing. Great job finding this story and pursuing it. // Great piece! I like the mix of main character interview, On the Fly interviews, and text on screen to drive the story forward. I think the edit could be slowed down a bit. A lot of the cuts are very fast and it distracts from what he’s saying. The bad audio at the end was distracting. I would have ended on a clip with stronger audio.

Engaging intro edit. Nice integration of archival materials, which makes me care about Maricar from the beginning! One technical note: watch your shutter speed - it should be double the frame rate. So, if you shoot at 24 FPS, your shutter should always be 1/48. This will make the footage immediately feel more cinematic. // This is a fun piece! I really like the structure of the narrative and the parallels between figure skating and costume making. I think the interview shot could have been wider to showcase her costumes and get a better sense of her creative surroundings. Personally, I don’t love that her intro is at the very end.
