Strong intro that hooked us from the beginning. Great introduction of characters that revealed their personalities and a strong audio and visual narrative that started big, took me into their lives outside of wrestling and then culminated with the tournament. A classic narrative arc that was very effective and kept me engaged throughout. Super fun approach to the topic that captured the energy of the sport.

Fun character piece that introduced me immediately to the character and his obsession. Solid editing at the beginning, especially as Gee tells the viewer about his extensive tie collection and the video cuts fast showing all the ties he has. The flip flop tie was mentioned twice (once in the intro) and I would cut that out to tighten it up. Overall a cool edit, a great character and kept my attention throughout. Fun use of music but subtle enough to keep it from being distracting.

Like how this video told the story of a news event through one character and the footage of him at home really hooked me early. The ending was a little weak, and I would’ve like to have heard from a LAUSD school teacher in this piece. Overall, a great way to tell a news story.
