Holy crap what a great angle and a great moment. This was easily the winner by a long jump (see what i did there?). In order to get an image like this it requires so much thought on where you will be and how to set up, and this is just really well done.

I look at tons of baseball photos every day during the season and this is a very hard image to get. Way to find the layering part. No, it's not perfectly clean, but it tells the story. And I would run this photo anyday of the week if it came across my desk for game coverage.
