SV TWCNews Reindeer Rescue 7 8 7 8 Nice story. I liked how you stuck with the action, and built toward the payoff. GoPro really helped. Served a good purpose because it gave you a second camera. Nice! I liked that you let moments play out, like the deer being brought to shore. Nice!
MM TWCNews Reindeer Rescue 7 8 8 8 Great Job. You really told the whole story and kept me interested throughout. Loved the GoPro shots. Rescuers gave you pretty awesome access. Noticed some jump cuts in the begining sequences but I enjoy the variation of shots you did have.
DR TWCNews Reindeer Rescue 8 8 8 8 Great work. The incorporation of the GoPro footage made for some excellent sequencing. The multiple voices from all sides kept me interested throughout. You took us through the story rather than simply telling what happened. Well done.
TG TWCNews Reindeer Rescue 8 8 8 8 Really enjoyed the way the story was told and the little nuggets throughout. Use of go-pro mixed with shots taken by the photog was really cool too. I loved hearing from the owner and rescuers. Great use of nat sound!

SV TWCNews I'll Get Him A New Truck 6 9 7 7 Nice shooting. Liked the setup, but would have liked to see the guy sooner. Really good job on a story which really only had the already burned up truck and the owner. Way to take what limited stuff you had and make a nice piece out of it. Almost didn't seem like spot news in the traditional sense because the fire had already happened. Good job!
MM TWCNews I'll Get Him A New Truck 7 9 8 7 Great video, you shot this very well. I did feel like we weren't watching a spot news piece though as it felt very general. Having the truck owner there to tell the story helps. enjoyed the sequencing you used to when you have limited video. good job.
DR TWCNews I'll Get Him A New Truck 7 9 8 8 The first thing I noticed was how well shot it was. I beginning set the scene very well with a very good use of nat sounds. You did a very good job using your sound and video to tell the story. You put together a well-rounded piece with limited information and elements. Nicely done.
TG TWCNews I'll Get Him A New Truck 6 9 7 7 Very good use of nats, very well shot. I think I would have liked to have seen th story get to the guy quicker. The pacing just seemed a bit off at the beginning. Nice sequencing though and good job with limited information!

MM TWCNews Whittier Tunnel Closure 5 5 6 6 Good Story. great reax to the tunnel closing. Wondering if it falls under spot? Felt like it ended very abruptly, left me wanting more after. Felt like you may have needed more video to make it work more.
SV TWCNews Whittier Tunnel Closure 7 7 6 7 Nice story. Simple, but solid and got the point across. I think the access you got to the inside of the tunnel and the damage made it. Woman stuck in traffic was a good character. I saw the stick mic in the shot briefly. Could you have mic'd her up for a few minutes while she waited? Good way to capture more "natural" sound. Good job!
DR TWCNews Whittier Tunnel Closure 8 7 6 8 Well done. Getting into the tunnel to see the damage really added to the story. The woman waiting was a great character to personalize the story.
Whittier Tunnel Closure 7 7 6 7 Very well done! Liked the flow of the story. Getting access into the tunnel definitely made the story. I liked that you started with the people it affects first and then moved on to what was wrong with the tunnel. Probably something your viewers know, but I was still wondering... there is no way to get to the other side other than the tunnel? The ending left me wanting more. Good job!

MM TWCNews The Chase 7 8 8 7 You told a really cool story with cool sound and elements. I didn't like the blurry video showing the helo and street, thought you could have done without that. I enjoyed your voice really telling the story and going with the urgency of the chase. Story moved really well.
SV TWCNews The Chase 6 6 6 7 I liked the pace of the story. I did like how you got a little creative in sort of re-enacting what happened. Thought you could have shown a little more of the guy and his wife, to try and build the story through them, instead of starting off with the mug shot. Watch the mic cable, it was hanging down past the guy's shirt in the wide shot. The two shot toward the end was kind of a throwaway....he was out of focus. Use your sticks to keep it steady! Thought it needed a closing shot. Not a fan of just ending on a header with lip-flap. Good effort on a story without much video.
DR TWCNews The Chase 7 6 7 8 You used the video and sound very well to re-create the scene for the viewers. The ending was a little abrupt. Your enthusiasm telling the story with your voice track kept me engaged.
TG TWCNews The Chase 7 6 7 7 Really great job, loved the pace of the story. Enjoyed how it was told. I also liked the recreation. I wasn't big on the blurry video, was having a hard time understanding what that was and where it came from. Also wasn't keen on the shot of his feet.Would have loved to hear more about what happened to her at the end and what she was charged with. Good job with out much video!
