Strongest of all the categories. Definitely the most challenging one to judge. Judges were impressed that very strong images were made for generally routine sporting assignments. The category included many jubilation images. 1st place rose to the top due to the emotion and the nice composition. My of the reaction images had nice emotion but were chaotic and lacked a focal point. Even though 2nd place lacked a ball, the judges didn't care. Great peak action and body language elevated this one. 3rd place had great light and showed preparedness by the photographer.
