Judges Comments

1st, Either a well-planned and thought-out shot, or just luck sided with the photographer; the lenses of the drone overlapping the operator's eyes helped produce a striking “look-again” moment. 2nd, Homeward-bound bundled-up students walking in front of a warm-weather wall mural had great ironic juxtaposition, and we were impressed the photographer had all four IDs. 3rd was a pretty ice-and-light scene, maybe easy to capture by anyone, but the silhouetted kissing couple added appeal. In general, the category also had many beautiful nature shots, but competing against found moments, we gave the nod to the caught instant over landscapes.
