1st. We debated and brought in a third opinion. The tie-breaker went to the traverse essay. The narrative arch is suspect, but we decided it was more about Mercury than the young girl. Overall had two really nice images that elevated the essay. 2nd. The photographer did a good job of hitting the storytelling notes, with a detail shot, scene-setter and highlighted the emotion of the moment. Some of the images became repetitive, which brought this down to second place.
