There were a large majority of images that didn't fit the category. More feature images in this general news category which is unfortunate as there were many really good entries that just couldn't be given their due in this category. The first place entry of the vigil easily separated itself from the group, with the lead image being among the strongest images of all the categories. The edit could have benefited from one or two less repetitive frames, but it was the strongest entry for sure. The second place image was interesting and different and spoke to an important story and having the access that is not always the case. The second place image had a good composition as well. The third place entry had just a great reaction, and a caught moment that is often hard to come by in what was seemingly a mundane kind of event to cover.
