First place was the best by far! It took over a year to shoot. The photographer is quite compassionate to shed light on an American problem with emotion empathy and intimacy. There's a big fall-off after first place for this category. Several entries were shot in one day. Not to say some were not strong, but come on y'all spend more time. Shoot your assignments and work on a project or two instead of hanging out in the newsroom. Follow the example of the first place photographer. There are fewer of you out there so please step up.
