This was a strong category. We liked the simplicity of the “Donuts” photo. The composition using leading lines and rule of thirds to take us to the subjects and selective focus worked well. We liked the angle used on “mudrun” and the foam caught in midair. The subject was surprisingly clean. “Fishing” was just a wonderfully composed sunset photograph, a subject we generally would dismiss.
