Judges Comments

Overall, many of the entries have way too many repetitive photos. Tighter edits or just submitting one strong single from a lot of multiple-photo entries really could have helped entrants rise higher in the group. However, first place has a good balance and variety of moments from a day-long event. We feel these photos capture a lot of the story. Second place is a quiet, somber moment that would not have had the same impact in the middle of the day and includes strong composition. We had to look over third place several times to realize it is a man in a Trump mask hugging a young girl. It captures the surreal pageantry of a lot of political rallies.
