As you always hear, edit tightly. A story is no better than it's weakest photo when it is judged against others. Also, write a summary paragraph with the first image. First Place - This story rocked us when we realized where it was going. Great old school documentary photojournalism. We were impressed that the photographer had the confidence of the subjects to get so close and not interfere with real, beautiful moments. Second Place - This collection of county fair photos is the best we've seen. Beautiful light and moments and composition. Third Place - We liked that the photographer worked this assignment and used multiple lenses and angles.
