Settled on our top three entries in Sports Action in fairly short order. Overall, lots of images we had seen before, but our final choices reflected peak action and uniqueness. First place caught our eyes with it intimacy and framing. Deliberated a bit about our second award - whether it belonged better in Sports Feature - but decided it did portray sports participation in a unique, eye-catching way. Would have liked to see a tighter crop in our third place award, but the action won out in this one.
