A small category, only 17 images. First Place: Excellent and moody piece of crime coverage from a shooting in Philadelphia. We felt this picture and others would've benefited from a tighter crop. This was something we saw in all categories, but we need to be vicious in cropping out the extraneous elements and draw the viewers attention to the essential storytelling elements of the picture. Second Place: Good too, but crop in a little more in the left and right and bring the composition into tighter focus for the reader.
