Overall we had an easy time picking as there were just not enough images to place outside of the winners. First place was just an amazingly lovely photo. Great respect for the subject with a very complete caption containing quotes. Easily 1st place. Second place was powerful but be careful with the toning. We realize there was a lot done to create the effect but very hard feather lines all through the photo. Third place fell kind of short for us as a portrait as we really gathered no information about the subject. A features photo that basically fell into another category...
