Judges Comments

First place has great emotion from a homecoming and a wonderful composition. Second place is a well executed protest shot with the use of motion blur. There were a lot of protest photos entered in this category but almost all were simply just people yelling with signs and second place went above and beyond that sign-waving we see over and over. Third place is lovely shot from a fireworks show spreading the ashes from a loved one who had passed...we had no idea that kind of memorial was an option.
