Judges Comments

Several unique entries in the Sports Feature category held judges' interest and helped elevate them to placing awards. First place was a truly unique feature captured during the course of a game. The first, and probably only time we'll see an image like that. Second place had some lesser images but was still overall well told. The fifth image in the series is a pretty unconventional category winner, but we liked the photographer's ability to work the periphery for an image, and were drawn to the use of negative space in the photograph.
